Too Faced Peaches and Cream Collection

10/1/2017

Hello everyone!! I am back once again! Today I'm not here to review just one product but a couple products from a single collection!
Recently, Sephora released Too Faced's Peaches and Cream collection!
If you know me, you would know that I'm the type of person to go all ham on a new product/collection when there is one! So I immediately made a trip to Sephora and got myself a couple things.
Well then with no further delay, enjoy the review!!
Picture
I'll just start off with my general thoughts on all the products. The packaging is amazingly cute, and they all smell wonderful!!
Now onto the individual reviews!

First one I'll review is the Mattifying Setting Spray:

My first impression... it's cute. It smells good. That's really all I can say.
It says it's a 3-in-1 setting spray, meaning you can use it in 3 ways. Here's what Too Faced claims and how I personally felt:

1. Use as moisturizing mist whenever your face feels dry.
My first thoughts... well it's supposed to be mattifying. Would this work? So after I got out of the shower I sprayed the mist on my face to see if it helps with dryness. Initially, it does help with the dryness. But later I saw white powder on my face. I cringed and looked at the instructions. "SHAKE WELL"... OOPS. So I shook it and tried again. No white residue, no dryness. AWESOME! I'll score it 4/5 as a facial mist.

2. Use as mattifying primer before makeup.
Well, because this is in a mist form, it was a little hard to get it on my face evenly. If you really wanted to use as a primer, I guess you could spray it on a cotton pad (enough to wet it) and wipe it across your face. Eh, I have other primers. 3/5 as a primer.

3. Use as setting spray after makeup.
This is its main use. It's bound to be a good setting spray. But I can't say much on this side since I don't need setting spray to set my makeup. My makeup perfectly stays without any setting at all since I have pretty dry skin and I don't sweat on my face. What a bummer. But I'll score it 4/5 as a setting spray because it doesn't ruin my makeup when I spray it unlike some other setting sprays. I still prefer the Urban Decay All Nighter setting spray for the particle size.

Overall score: 3.7/5

Next one on the list is the Just Peachy Velvet Matte Eyeshadow Palette:

From left to right: Peach Meringue (ivory) / Peach Tea (caramel) / Peach Cobbler (toasted peach) / Peach Tart (deep brown) / Peach Butter(peach cream) / Just Peachy (Matte peach) / Peach Punch (peach daiquiri) / Just Ripe (spiced plum) / Peaches and Cream (peach sherbet) / Fresh Picked (ginger peach) / Peach Sangria (wine) / Chocolate Dipped (smoky brown)
12 shades ranging from ivory-ish color to a chocolate brown. Amazing color combination, wonderful smell, great texture. My new favorite Eyeshadow palette for sure. One downside though, is that I don't use orange or coral tones. There are couple colors on the palette that I'm already pretty sure I won't ever use. Peach Tea, Peach Cobbler, and Fresh Picked I'll end up never using. On the contrary, Peach Punch, Just Ripe, Peach Sangria, Chocolate Dipped, and Peach Butter will hit the pan.

I was surprised also on how the texture was! Because I use my fingers, a lot of powder eyeshadow tend to be too powdery and fall onto places I don't want it to. But this eyeshadow palette, it almost seemed to have a powder-to-cream type of texture! Well bye bye my other shadows. This one definitely is a keeper.

5/5. Absolute favorite!

The third product to be reviewed is the Peach My Cheeks Melting Powder Blush:

The packaging looks like a peach. Quite literally. Why does everything in this collection smell amazing?
The blush has a unique cream to powder texture. The shift happens as soon as it melts onto your skin and it's such a long-lasting powder blush! It also seems to have a slight shimmery finish.
I currently have the So Peachy but 10/10 would recommend, 10/10 would get another. Probably Peach Dream. Or maybe Peach Berry.

I score this a 5/5. If I could give a 10/5 I totally would.

Last but not least, the Peach Kiss Moisture Matte Long Wear Lipstick:
Picture
Adorable packaging, wonderful smell once again.
This is a lipstick, yes. But it feels like a colored lip balm. It's very moisturizing and the color is very pigmented. An amazing hybrid of a tinted balm and lipstick. Matte but moisturizing. Why can't all lipsticks have this formula?
Oh and those cute little peach engravings! Yes, those carved out peaches... means that there's fundamentally less lipstick BUT WHO CARES?! It's cute, okay?
This lipstick is really good to wear alone as a full lip or ombré lips. Unlike many Matte lipsticks that crack and gets dry and are hard to fix, these lipsticks are really moist and easy to reapply. The one downside... is that... because of the moisture, there's quite a bit of transfer.

Score: 4/5

Soon I shall go and complete my collection by getting the foundation, primer, setting powder, compact, bronzer, highlighter.... okay no. BUT if I had the money and space, I totally would! This collection is probably my favorite collection so far! OOH THIS COLLECTION IS EXCLUSIVE FOR SEPHORA SO GO GET IT WHILE IT'S STILL HERE!
Oh no I don't work for Sephora but I wish I did. Anyways, my total score for the collection according to the ones o currently have is.....

*drumrolls*

17.7/20!!!

Don't miss this chance, go get some while it lasts.
Let me know if you've used any of the products I reviewed or the other products from the collection!!
