Dior Addict Lacquer Plump
Hello my lovely beauty-lovers!
I am finally back with a review for a makeup product! Impressive right?
The last time I did a cosmetics review was for Vely Vely... Last winter so... you've all waited long enough!
I'm here with a newly released product from Dior!
I usually use Korean lip products but I gotta say, I'm a sucker for Dior
I was very excited to try these out and I really wanted to get another color but I wanted to make sure I would use them before I purchase more colors!
So with no further ado, let's get onto the review!
So the Dior Addict Lacquer Plump is a newly released line from Dior Cosmetics.
It claims to have a very comfortable texture (no stickiness, no dryness...) and is a long-wear lip color.
So I guess the texture is between lipstick and lip gloss?
Let's talk detail for formula!
According to the website, it says "An oil-in-water emulsion infused with pigments and enriched with a natural-origin hibiscus extract for a plumping effect and hyaluronic acid for moisturization.
Not gonna lie, I really dig that. Truly.
The formula is very moisturizing and due to the shine, it does create a plumping effect without that sting/minty/coldness.
Shades... SHADES! The shades are a-maze-ing!
There are 16 shades and the range is very wide.
The photo below shows all 16 of the lip lacquers
There are 12 regular colors and 4 glitter colors!
It would be a miss if I didn't show you all the color swatches right?
So I brought swatches from their website since I couldn't swatch them myself.
Aren't they just wonderful?
Okay enough about colors since what I really want to talk about is how long they last.
For me, there is one thing most important when it comes to lip products and that is duration.
I get lazy reapplying makeup so a lot of the times I end up not touching up on my makeup all day.
Since Dior claims that these lip lacquers are long lasting, I tested them out.
I applied my lip with the lip lacquer at 9am and started my day.
It was about 12pm when I saw the color fade from the inner part of my lips.
Around 1pm I had my lunch and by the time I was done, the color was still on my lips but no shine. It turns out that these lacquers actually stain your lips.
To test the stain, I applied it on my arm and washed it off with water literally right after.
You can see the comparison below but look how fast it stained my arm!
The stained color is pretty true to its original color (unlike some lip tints and stains where it always stains pink or orange).
Well I'm definitely getting more shades when I get paid!
The glittery pink shade... is just... so pretty!
Well I really wanted to be completely neutral for this review and truly, I was. But I can’t deny that their lip products are beyond amazing (at least for me) and I really do hope you all try them out yourself!
My overall score of these lip lacquers: 9/10!
The one missing point.... it's a little sticky even though it's not as bad as lip glosses.
If you'd like to try them, you can get them at Dior stores, Sephora, or at any major department stores for $37!
