Last week, my friend introduced me to Colourpop liquid lipsticks and I finally managed to do a massive liquid lipstick haul from them. I bought 6 different colors in 2 different styles: Ultra Matte Lip and Ultra Satin Lip. Originally, I wanted to get one of each 4 styles (Matte, Satin, Gloss, and Metallic) but I don't like lipgloss and I don't wear metallic lipstick so I just ended up getting the 2 styles I would mostly wear. It will become too long if I start reviewing every color so I'll just be reviewing the style of finish. Here are all 6 of them:  Ultra Matte Lip:
( I don't know what happened to the picture for Notion... :( ) So in general, the Ultra Matte Lip products are super matte. After the liquid lipstick sets, there is definitely some creasing going on and while it's not as visible with the lighter color, you can definitely see it on the darker ones. However, these do seem to last pretty long and are harder to remove. As I was trying on every color, it took me a while to remove each color and they seemed to stain my lips a bit as well. I would have to say that long-lasting products always get a high score for me since I tend to forget to bring my lipstick. Also, they claim that these Matte lips are kissproof and transfer-proof! this means that although it is long lasting and will set on your lips, it is a little harder to apply it evenly. And reapplication is also a bit difficult because it sets pretty quick and it will start crumbling or sticking in patches. Ultra Satin Lip:
The Ultra Satin Lip products definitely had a lot less creasing.
While the Matte lipsticks set immediately, these left more like lip balm than lipstick and was not as drying. I did notice that all three colors are very similar... but oh well.. The satin ones are definitely not completely transfer-proof but because of its creamy texture, you can reapply it without having it be patchy. This makes it a lot easier to apply the satin ones in the first place! I would have to say that my favorite out of the six would definitely be The Rabbit. It's a bright fuchsia with a blue undertone/shimmer (although it's hard to see the blue shimmer in the photo) Overall, I will give the Colourpop liquid lipsticks a 4/5! The mattes are a little harder to like but the satin ones are amazing. Will I buy more colors? Sure, why not! They're only $6 per lipstick. Very affordable.
