It's been almost 2 months since my last review and I'm really sorry I couldn't come as often! But hey, to make up for it, I'm here with a review of the recently-hyped lip tint, PeriPera Peri's Ink Airy the Velvet! I managed to splurge a bit and purchase ALL 5 SHADES from eBay. At the end of the post, I will link you all to all the websites that sell the Airy the Velvet so you can compare prices and see which one is convenient for you~ So with no further ado, let's get on with the swatches and the review! As usual, I will do all the swat-shots one after another with their names! No. 1: Heart Grapefruit (심장폭격) Heart Grapefruit is a red-orange color. Although on the lips it looks more warm-red, when you remove it using a makeup remover wipe, the color looks more orange... Basically, it's a red with an orange undertone. I think it's good for people with warm tone skintone (or people who usually wear orange-ish lip tints but want to try a red). ITo be honest, the color is pretty but doesn't seem to be the one for me. No. 2: Pretty Orange Pink (최애쁨템) The name suggests a orange pink.. Maybe it's supposed to be a pink with an orange undertone? Maybe a warm tone pink? The color on the lips seems pretty coral but like a pinkish coral.. The boxing of this product was a peachy orange color to it but on the lips it definitely just looks pink. If you look at the arm swatches on the top of the post, it does actually show a bit of an orange undertone though. No. 3: Sold Out Red (조기품절) The color for this one is a bright red. Although in the picture, it seems a bit toned-down, it's closer to a fire-engine red! This one would turn out to be my favorite shade out of all 5 because.. well.. it's red :) No. 4: Beautiful Coral Pink (미모열일) Says coral pink but it turns out to be more of a hot pink. The color doesn't have a coral-ness to it at all. I'm not complaining though, since I really like how the color looks on my complexion since my skin is pretty light. No. 5: Elf Light Rose (엘프요정) The color is very.. light.
I was expecting a dark toned-down rose MLBB color but it's actually not all that pigmented at all. I naturally have pigmented lips so without lip concealer, the color doesn't show at all. This shade, I think, is best if used as a base color for a two tone (gradation) look! Because it is very light, it can definitely work as the lighter base color for a two-tone. Now let's get talking about how the lip tint ACTUALLY feels like on the lips. I noticed that the regular Peri's Ink The Velvet is a little drying on the lips. With the Airy the Velvet, however, it doesn't feel drying at all. These tints have a matte finish but are very easy to re-apply unlike matte lipstick. Compared to other lip tints, there isn't much staining with these tints. These aren't for you if you're looking for long-lasting lip tints or stains. The formula also feels very... light? on the lips. Like, you know when you put on lip gloss or some lip tints and it gets a little sticky or heavy on the lips? And it applies quite thick? That doesn't happen with these Airy the Velvet lip tints! After you apply them, it literally feels like there's nothing on my lips. Overall, I will rate the product a 4/5. I love everything about the product but I just with there were more colors to choose from.. I'm sure that they'll add more colors to the collection like they are doing with the Velvet ones and I would prefer having a burgundy or darker colors with this same formula. Now that, would be amazing! If you would like to try these out yourself, you can get them at IBBI, TesterKorea, ClubClio, and of course, eBay!
